Result of the sports grant

As a result of the sports premium, all of the children have been more active, fit and healthy and enjoy physical pursuits.  We are now able to offer more after school sports clubs for the children, at no cost to the parents.  This year we have been able to provide:

  • Tri golf
  • multi sports
  • football
  • net ball
  • athletics
  • speed stacking
  • tag rugby

Four Swannes Primary School

Netball match report

On Friday 23rd June 2017, Four Swannes’ netball team played against Downfields Primary School netball team ending in triumph for Four Swannes with an incredible 16-1 win!

1st quarter

As the match began, Four Swannes had complete possession of the ball. Sharon scored the first goal of the match with Charis scoring the next (thanks to their brilliant defence stopping Downfields from having the ball).  After an early lead, Four Swannes managed to score an impressive 10 goals in the first quarter with Downfields scoring none.

2nd quarter

During the break, both teams swapped some players; this had an advantage for Downfields with Downfields new defence, Sharon and Charis managed to score 3 more goals between.  Thanks to Ama’s great defence the 2nd quarter ended 13-0.

3rd quarter

With Four Swannes netball coach swapping more players, Downfields used this opportunity to keep possession of the ball.  However, Four Swannes fought back and managed to score 2 more goals (scored by Four Swannes’ top shooters) finishing the quarter 15-0.

4th quarter

As Downfields admitted defeat, Four Swannes scored another goal with only three minutes to go.  Downfields saw their change, grabbed the ball and flung it into the net with all their supporters screaming and running with happiness as they had finally scored a goal! Straight after the whistle blew, leaving Four Swannes to celebrate their outstanding victory with a mind-blowing score of 16-1.
